   Ah, the Lake Poets. I read the DeQuincey book a few years back, before taking a ‘walking tour’ of the Lake District. Those guys were in good shape to hike those hills!

   Before the Beats and the Lost Generation, there was also…Mrs. Tiggywinkle! Yup – Beatrix Potter set her children’s stories and illustrations in the Lake District and used the scenes around her home as inspiration.
